Alternative Medicine - Trick or treatment?
Nowadays, more and more technology is improving and health developments are happening around the world.
Living in this globalized world, people are looking for options, a healthy mind, body and spirit are every day the new goal for thousands of people.
Inserted in this new mentality, alternative or complementary medicine have been highlighted even more. This kind of medicine provides the population a new look for treatments, a less invasive choice for those who live in the 21st century.
The complementary medicine includes acupuncture - the action of putting special needles into particular parts of the body; homeopathy - a way of treating illness by giving small amounts of natural substances; massage - the action of pressing someone's body in order to reduce pain in their muscles or to make them relax; hypnotherapy - the use of hypnosis to treat psysical or emotional problems; aromatherapy - a treatment in which oils with a nice smell are rubbed into the patient's skin to make him feel relaxed, etc. Some of them have been practiced for thousands of years but just now were classified as a branch of medicine.
In extreme cases, like surgery, the tradicional medicine is still the highest rated among the possibilities, basically because it is the one which solves the problem, or part of it, instantly. The concern that is solved by Alternative Medicine is during the recovery, it is scientifically proved that a patient submitted to complementary medicine in the middle of his convalescence has a better and faster result when compared to the others.
Although, the Alternative Medicine is crearly a treatment, and I'm optimistic to say that probably with more financial suport and in some years, it will substitute the tradicional medicine known by the world these days.

Her dream job is a nightmare - Homework
Hello Anna, how are you?
Who's talking is your brother Gui.
Look I was thinking about that things you told me about your job.
I got the conclusion that the best thing you should do is quit the job, you are still young, plenty of opportunities will come to your life yet.
Let's face the facts, you are besotted with him but this on-off relationship with your boss are not going to take you anywhere. You have been working more but your salary is still the same, he promises you that promotion which probably will never happen and your coworkers are gossiping and laughing about you behind your back.
I didn't tell mom and dad about this, they don't know anything, so you can feel comfortable to deal with the situation and no one else needs to know about it.
Try to think about this, okay? I'm worried about you, you used to be bright and a fun-loving girl, and these last days you are not being the same.
You know you can count on me for whatever it is.
Take care sis, see you soon.
Kind Regards,
Guilherme Arinelli.

Is it good thing to have English as a global language? Why / Why not?
As far as I'm concerned, yes, it's good to have English as a global language. This is explained by the fact that with English becoming a global language people from all over the world can communicate better, it's easier to deal with global concerns and discuss them.
In the 21st century with Globalisation, a common language is required, people are talking throughout the World to each other and they need a way to proceed with this communication, English became the solution.
It's also important to highlight that people must not forget about their own language and culture, this is what makes us unique. English is becoming the global language, but it doesn't replace the country's native idiom. It's possible to combine Globalisation with identity, English with native language, probably in the short-term people will speak at least two languages, and I would say that maybe in the long-term people will speak only one.
In my way of thinking this wouldn't be the greatest choice, nowadays there are about 2.000 idioms around the world, and this makes me more interested in listening to them, in learning them, and it's possible to understand better others cultures when you actually express yourself in the same way they do.
There's much more in language than only words. You can find features that belong only to those people, by speaking the language you insert yourself in the culture in a way that nothing else could do, it's possible to feel others identity.
Therefore, from my point of view it is a good thing to have English as a global language, but make sure of the counterpoints. Everything always has a "good" and "bad" side, we just need to know how to deal with both.
